Gabe Holmes

 

With 17 years of experience in the lithium battery industry, Gabe has developed deep expertise in battery system design, integration, and manufacturing across the automotive, grid (BESS), and industrial sectors. In his role at Flexware Innovation, Gabe focuses on digital strategies for both brownfield and greenfield battery plants.  Over the last 8 years, he has helped clients integrate advanced technologies into their operations, ensuring efficiency and scalability.  

 

Gabe’s work at Flexware involves collaborating with several Hitachi Group Companies to support the development of their Total Seamless Solution (TSS) for Gigafactory design and integration, providing strategic and technical guidance to optimize operations for future growth. For the past 12 years, Gabe has owned and operated his own consulting business, where he has worked with clients on system-level requirements development, battery management systems, and prototype builds.

Gabe’s hands-on experience extends to battery testing methodologies, failure analysis (FMEA, DVP&R, 8D), and project engineering.  He also specializes in process automation and system optimization, helping companies enhance production efficiencies while adhering to industry standards.  

 

His broad industry experience also spans battery passport implementation, material processes across multiple chemistries, and compliance with safety regulations.  Gabe’s unique ability to combine strategic insights with practical execution has helped companies drive growth and foster innovation within the rapidly evolving battery sector.
