Battery Quality Engineering Expert
Joe brings 15 years of experience in energy storage technology testing and quality engineering, including 5 years as a quality leader of automated pouch cell and battery module manufacturing lines. Joe is Treetown Tech’s battery quality engineering consultant, concentrating on process design and improvement, cell and battery troubleshooting and failure analysis, cell tear-down analysis, battery test and evaluation plan development and execution, and battery design and production validation.

Before Treetown Tech and partnering with AVICENNE, Joe was Quality Manager of the lithium-ion pouch cell and battery module lines at Navitas Systems (2019-2023), where in addition to quality, he became a key figure in the manufacturing team, also acting as the team’s R&D and Product Engineering liaison, formation engineer, test engineer, data analyst, and troubleshooter. Joe was also Quality Manager at Balance Technology Inc. (2014-2019) and solid oxide fuel cell Test Engineer at Adaptive Materials Inc. (later Ultra Electronics-AMI and now Edge Autonomy; 2007-2014)
